Beginning the school year with Family Engagement Week gives us the opportunity to connect with our students and families. We look forward to these conversations that help us maximize preparedness for the remote learning we are set up to deliver.
September 1 – 4 will be a combination of family conference meetings and student instruction. Family conference meetings will last 15-45 minutes.
Schools will reach out to schedule your conference time. During these meetings families and students will connect with their child’s teacher (elementary) or advisory instructor (secondary). Evening meeting times will be available. Families and students will share information about their strengths and needs and concerns or supports they may need. This will also be an opportunity for families to become familiar with the technology being used in remote learning. Parents and teachers will create a continuous communication plan to celebrate what is working and to make adjustments as needed this year.
For questions regarding Family Engagement Week please call or email your school office directly. School offices open to employees starting on August 24 and our staff will work through the backlog of emails and voicemails as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and teamwork as we come back to school this fall!
We are excited to connect with our West Valley families and students!
Below is West Valley High School, West Valley Junior High and West Valley Middle School schedule for the first week of school. Other schools will contact families with their specific schedules for the first week of school.
