Ballots Due Tues, Feb. 10 - Drop Box Advisory
Drop Box Advisory
According to the Voter’s Pamphlet from the Yakima County Auditor’s office, voters who complete their ballot close to the Feb. 10 deadline are encouraged to use a Yakima County Drop Box to ensure that their vote is tallied. The Voter’s Pamphlet states, “After February 4, use an official red drop box to make sure it’s on time.”
Yakima County Auditor, Charles Ross, explained in a recent article in the Yakima Herald-Republic, “We’ve seen a severe increase in ballots that are too late because the mail is taking many days to be postmarked. If there’s less than a week before the election, please use a drop box.”
