Josh Pearce, New 5th Grade Teacher at Wide Hollow
Aug 23, 2021
Josh Pearce, a 1996 WVSD208 graduate and former member of the St. Louis Cardinals, is joining the Wide Hollow STEAM Elementary teaching team for the upcoming school year. Josh comes to us from Highland Middle School, where he taught World History and Physical Education for the past 13 years.
Mr. Pearce is very excited about teaching 5th grade at Wide Hollow. He enjoys the age group and feels that he can make a difference not only in their educational development but also in their social transition to middle school. His goal in the classroom is to create a comfortable environment where all students achieve their highest potential academically, socially, and personally. For Josh, relationships and daily interactions with teachers and fellow students make the greatest impact on students as a whole person. He does his best to facilitate students in their own growth and learning, while encouraging them to become lifelong learners.
Mr. Pearce and his wife, Andrea, have been married for 17 years. Their nine-year-old twins, Graham and Harper, attend Mountainview Elementary. They also have two large dogs named Maggie and Charlie.
We’re so excited to have Josh Pearce join us! Be sure to give him a big welcome back home to West Valley!
